Job summary

TELUS Health seeks an Actuarial Analyst to support pension programs by evaluating funding status, performing plan valuations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This hybrid role is based in Vancouver or Calgary, with relocation considered.

You will analyze assets and liabilities, calculate benefits, and advise on contribution levels while collaborating with sponsors and teammates to deliver accurate financial insights for our clients.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong competency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assess the financial health of pension plans by conducting regular valuations (assets, liabilities, demographics, investment performance).
• Calculate pension benefits for plan participants based on service, salary history, and retirement age, ensuring compliance with plan rules and regulations.
• Help plan sponsors determine appropriate contribution levels to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Assist in the design and modification of pension plans.
