Job summary

AMA Insurance is seeking an Actuarial Analyst I to turn data into actionable insights for pricing and product decisions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams across actuarial, underwriting, BI and IT, translating requirements into practical business solutions.

The role emphasizes building technical expertise within the property and casualty space, with exposure to pricing, reporting, and system changes. Hybrid Lite work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in actuarial science, math, statistics or related field.
• Minimum two CAS exams completed and all VEE credits, with ACAS in progress.
• Property and casualty insurance knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, produce and maintain reports and analyses for business needs.
• Query data from multiple sources and translate into insights.
• Support pricing, product changes and implementation in insurance systems.
• Translate actuarial filings into clear business requirements.
• Create rating calculators to support pricing and underwriting changes.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for changes.
• Support changes to the insurance rating engine and rate filings.
• Conduct market research to inform pricing and product decisions.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, BI and IT teams.
