Actuarial Analyst - Commercial Insurance

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to commercial pricing, underwriting, claims handling, and product development projects.
  2. Participate in regulatory filings for individual commercial rated auto insurance.
  3. Analyze data using spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software to support profitability and performance assessments.
  4. Communicate complex actuarial concepts effectively to stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  5. Create reports and data exhibits to monitor company and industry performance.
  6. Respond to routine stakeholder requests with validation and accuracy.
  7. Assist in leading and peer reviewing technical actuarial work.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 CAS/SOA exams completed.
  • 2-4 P&C actuarial CO-OP terms or equivalent experience; personal or commercial pricing experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAS, Python, R, Excel VBA, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent data analysis, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Details

Salary Range: $53,800 - $106,400. We encourage applicants who meet most qualifications to apply, valuing diverse perspectives. Benefits include a hybrid work schedule, company share ownership, pension and savings plans, educational resources, wellness programs, and more.
