Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is offering a co-op/intern actuarial opportunity designed to get you involved from day one. You’ll perform calculations for regulatory and management reporting and assist with actuarial production while learning the practical applications of your studies.

This role targets students enrolled in actuarial programs who have completed 3–4 exams and possess strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field or equal combination of education and experience.
• Enrolled in the actuarial program and completed 3 to 4 exams.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and analyses for regulatory and management reporting.
• Extracts and compiles actuarial data to ensure investment and risk portfolios conform to guidelines.
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and aligns them.
• Reviews model outputs used as the basis for the Appointed Actuary’s opinions.
