BC Housing in Burnaby, BC is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team on a short-term 18-month/full-time basis. You will report to the Senior Accounting Officer and handle a variety of accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of payments for grants, taxes, and utility charges.

The ideal candidate has a college diploma in accounting or finance, experience in a high-volume environment, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Experience in a high-volume computerized accounting environment.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable to employer.

Responsibilities

• Process grants in lieu of property taxes and utility charges.
• Maintain accounts payable procedures and update policies.
• Post audit voucher batches and generate performance reporting.
• Assist with travel claims audit and post-audit processes.
