Job summary

MacEwan University in Edmonton is seeking an Accounts Payable Accounting Technician II to join the Shared Services Centre within Financial Services. This full-time continuing role focuses on accurate processing of supplier invoices and vouchers, ensuring compliance and timely disbursements.

You will collaborate with Purchasing/Receiving, provide AP guidance to stakeholders, and support month-end close and audit readiness. A strong eye for detail and service orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• A diploma in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Three years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Finance and related AP processes.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review and process supplier invoices, vouchers and payments with three-way match and proper authorizations; ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Provide customer service to MacEwan stakeholders and resolve invoice/PO concerns; maintain supplier relationships.
• Reconcile supplier statements; assist with month-end/year-end close and internal audits; maintain organized records.
