People Corporation seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage day-to-day AP activities, ensuring accurate recording of vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions in line with company policies. The role supports AP management in implementing standardized processes and controls within a shared services mindset.

Based in Winnipeg, the successful candidate will contribute to month-end close, KPI development, and seamless integration of acquired entities into AP while

Qualificações

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar finance-related role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff and management at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Record vendor invoices, expense reports and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Verify receipts and invoices for accuracy and proper approvals.
  • Enter invoices and expenses into the accounting software with correct GL codes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and employees to resolve invoice-related inquiries.
  • Support month-end AP processes for timely financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Assist in integrating acquired companies into the AP function.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-dayoperational activities in the AP function of the company. This role plays acritical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of suppliers invoices,expense reports, and credit card transactions.

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports the AP Team management withimplementation of standardized processes, key performance indicators (KPI), andcontrols and procedure documentation with a shared services mindset.

The Accounts Payable Specialist Will
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of vendor invoices, expense reports, andcredit card transactions in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Verify expense documentation, such as receipts and invoices, for accuracy,completeness, and appropriate approval before processing.
  • Ensure accurate entry of invoices and expenses into the accounting software,considering the correct general ledger account code, practice, and costcenter.
  • Collaborates with vendors and employees to resolve any issues or inquiriesrelated to invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Support the month-end A/P process, enabling timely and accurate financialreporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements tostreamline A/P operations.
  • Participate in integration of acquired companies into the A/P function, asrequired.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
To be successful as an Accounts Payable Specialist with People Corporation, you will need:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field (Accounting,Finance, Business Administration)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar finance-related role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, withthe ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff andmanagement at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and to effectively prioritize tasks and managedeliverables in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • The ability to take initiative while remaining proactive and adaptable
  • Fluency in both French and English is considered an asset

The base salary for this position is between $38,000 - $45,000 annually.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variablecompensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commissionetc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions,geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills,qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to moveforward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will beable to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
