Job summary

Vancouver Aquarium is seeking an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations within a fast-paced Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, you will assist with Accounts Payable, revenue accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting activities to ensure timely processing and strong internal controls.

The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Recent graduates with relevant education encouraged to apply.
• Experience with reconciliations, payment processing, or AP/AR is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timely in the accounting system.
• Review invoices for completeness and correct coding/approvals.
• Maintain supplier records and onboarding.
• Review vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with payment preparation and processing and month-end AP procedures.
• Prepare daily revenue summaries and support revenue reporting.
