Job summary

Swim Recruiting is assisting a Vancouver-based company in its search for an AP Analyst to join a tight-knit accounting team. You will report to a supportive supervisor and contribute to accurate AP processing.

The role requires at least 3 years of progressive full-cycle AP experience, including handling POs and procurement, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and AP automation. The position affords stability and a Downtown Vancouver location.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in accounts payable, including processing high value payments and invoices.
• At least 2 years’ experience with purchase orders, procurement practices and procedures.
• Experience reading and understanding vendor contracts.
• Attention to detail with high-volume, time-sensitive tasks and error resolution.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• AP automation and/or procurement systems (Concur, Coupa, etc.) and ERP experience; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase requests and purchase orders.
• Provide team support and coverage for accounts payable processes.
• Process a high volume of payments with accuracy and on time.
• Periodically support daily billing tasks.
• Identify issues and coordinate with AP/AR staff to resolve.
• Respond to internal and external queries professionally.
• Support close processes and audit activities.
• Process fixed asset requests accurately.
• Maintain master data in finance systems.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects.
• Identify and communicate system deficiencies for remediation.
