Job summary

Vancouver Aquarium is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage inventory, organize the retail warehouse and Gift Shops, and support frontline staff.

Reporting to the Stockroom Manager, you will handle stock receiving, pricing, restocking, and occasional on-floor cashier duties, while maintaining safety and cleanliness. This role requires attention to detail, ability to lift 20 kg, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, including busy seasons.

Qualifications

• 2 years of high volume retail sales experience.
• 1–2 years customer service experience or equivalent.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Excellent internal and external customer service and communication skills.
• Basic MS Office: Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift and move 20 kgs.
• Flexibility and availability during the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Retail Store’s inventory control: receive, price, and determine proper storage methods and stock location.
• Verify inventory of packing slips to physical counts of stock; investigate discrepancies and adjust for errors and defects.
• Process and coordinate shipments of website and catalog orders.
• Conduct monthly inventory audits; assist with annual inventory audit.
