Job summary

Acuren in Canada is seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable to oversee end-to-end payables, lead a team of AP Supervisors, and implement policies to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and SOX compliance.

You will partner with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to optimize cash flow, manage working capital, and drive process improvements, including automation and ERP enhancements. This on-site role requires 8+ years in AP and 5+ years in supervision, with a CPA asset.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable or finance.
5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
Professional designation (e.g., CPA) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Oversee full-cycle accounts payable: invoice processing, payment execution, and expense management.
Lead and develop a team of AP Supervisors and staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Establish and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and payments by various methods.
Partner with Procurement and Operations to streamline procure-to-pay processes and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor cash disbursements to optimize working capital and maintain vendor relationships.
Oversee vendor onboarding, maintenance, and communication for accurate records.
Ensure SOX compliance, audit readiness, and regulatory obligations.
