Accounts Payable Coordinator

Full-time (contract & permanent roles available)

Location: Somerville, NB

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the payment of approved interline invoices in accordance with audit criteria and company policies.

How You'll Help
  • Maintain inboxes of incoming invoices to process
  • Match invoices to purchase orders for payment
  • Enter invoices into Coupa for approval
  • Review and audit invoices for basic requirements including proper approvals for payment
  • Update Operations and vendors regarding payment inquiries
  • Liaise with Operations and Director-Vendor Management on Interline agreements
  • Identify issues and escalate as required (to action, update SOPs & to learn)
  • Handle WCB reporting and provide updated vendor clearance certificates and monthly vendor spend reconciliation
  • Maintain signature templates and signing authority approved by finance
  • Review and audit payments before release to vendors
  • Pull reports for broker pay to process deductions
  • Other related duties as required
Your Skills & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business administration (considered an asset)
  • A combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Minimum of one year experience in accounts payable or similar computerized accounting in a fast-paced environment, preferably in transportation
  • Experience in AS400 is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, especially MS Office and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, especially with numbers
  • Understanding of accounting GLs and taxes is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy in high-volume, fast-paced settings
