Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for generating all outbound payments and supporting various internal financial processes. You'll collaborate closely with teams across the company and within our Corporate office, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every task.

What will you be doing?

  • Coding and inputting a high volume of vendor invoices and credits accurately and efficiently into Microsoft D365.
  • Reviewing invoices for discrepancies and resolving payment issues for internal and external customers.
  • Preparing, reconciling, and reviewing vendor statements monthly.
  • Handling escalated vendor issues related to invoicing and payment disputes, ensuring positive resolutions.
  • Working with vendors and external auditors, as needed.
  • Managing and monitoring the AP inbox.
  • Assisting in month-end close duties.
  • Managing vendor-specific invoicing requirements and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions as per Bill 198 requirements.
  • Maintaining job aids and other user training materials.
  • Matching invoices with purchase orders.
  • Completing other ad-hoc accounting tasks or projects as assigned.

What experience do you have?

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and expense management in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to reconcile system and vendor accounts.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with a large ERP, specifically Microsoft D365.
