Our client, located in Saint-Laurent, is seeking an Accounting Technician specialized in managing accounts payable and receivable. You will play a vital role in the company's financial operations by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of transactions.

Tasks

  • Independently and efficiently manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Authorize purchase orders in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify receipt reports and ensure their accuracy.
  • Process supplier payments according to scheduled deadlines.
  • Evaluate and validate invoice amounts before payment.
  • Accurately update the accounting system.
  • Work closely with related departments, especially purchasing.
  • Actively participate in process improvements in a restructuring context.
  • Provide full accounting coverage for operations across Canada.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • College diploma (DEC) in Management Accounting or Business Administration with a focus in accounting – required.
  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written (English is used in approximately 50% of daily communications).
  • Good knowledge of Epicor software (asset), or willingness to learn other accounting systems.
