Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician, Tax, on a full-time permanent basis on our Commodity Tax team.

This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

If you’re a motivated team player who enjoys building relationships, collaborating across departments, and bringing people together toward a common goal, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and file monthly PST, GST, and ecology returns as well as respond to any queries from stakeholders.
• Handle correspondence between departments, retails, government, and ecology programs.
• Prepare IFTA reports and remittances based on fleet use in each province.
• Review new item set ups to ensure proper tax treatment by reviewing PST, GST, and ecology rates on government and other stakeholder’s websites.
• Other duties as required.

Who you are:

• Have 1 year of related accounting experience.
• Have a high school diploma and four (4) progressive financial accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution.
