Job summary

AGF is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our Ontario finance team. In this role you will oversee cash operations, perform bank reconciliations, process customer receipts, and assist with month-end closing in a large ERP environment.

You will apply revenue recognition principles, maintain GL schedules, and collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows while ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in a large-scale ERP environment.
  • Proven proficiency in reconciliations, revenue recognition, and month-end procedures.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and a high degree of precision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to perform both independently and collaboratively.
  • Technical familiarity with SAP or Oracle Financial modules beneficial
  • Understanding of IFRS or local GAAP frameworks for revenue.
  • Previous engagement with corporate treasury or cash management functions.
  • Experience developing documentation for external audit verification

Responsibilities

About the role
