Job summary

KATIMAVIK is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to maintain financial records and lead the preparation of income tax and financial statements in a permanent daytime role in Canada. The position supports accounts payable/receivable and benefits administration, requiring strong attention to detail and a relevant degree.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of experience in bookkeeping, be proficient with manual and computerized systems, and be fluent in English or French to collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting.

Responsibilities

• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• Prepare income tax.
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Complete and submit documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment and medical insurance.
