My name is Romane, a recruitment and business development advisor at Fed Finance, a firm specializing in recruiting finance professionals. I work on both temporary and permanent placements on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and understands your world. We cover accounting, finance, and payroll professions.
I am looking for a payroll and accounting technician for my client in the manufacturing/construction sector for a permanent contract. This position is based in Granby with 2 days of teleworking after training.
The responsibilities include:
- Managing supplier invoices
- Supporting data accounting for billing
- Supporting credit card management
- Carrying out payroll during periods of absence of the payroll technician
- Making travel reservations for team members (hotel, plane, car rental, etc.)
- Checking site reports daily against timesheets to avoid discrepancies
- Ensuring communication within the team (press releases, messages, links, etc.)
- Completing monthly requirements in ISN and Cognibox (declarations of hours for certain construction sites)
- Creating customs files when importing parts (international)
- Ensuring the compliance of our insurance files, updating files, and communicating with the insurer when required (certificate requests, driver additions, etc.)
- Ensuring vehicle insurance and registration documents are up to date
- Supporting the estimator in completing quotes.
Requirements include:
- DEP or DEC in office automation, administration, or equivalent training
- Experience with construction payroll (Asset)
- Knowledge of basic accounting operations (payables and receivables)
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Interest in administration and coordination
- Bilingual in English and French
- Effective communication skills (email, telephone, verbal, written)
- Mastery of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Adaptability and resourcefulness
- Discretion and confidentiality
