Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions
• Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines
• Manage outstanding accounts and ensure timely collections
• Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform timely month-end and quarter-end closes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, expense reviews, and cost control strategies
• Identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and develop resolutions
• Contribute to process improvements
• Build strong client relationships and collaborate with teams to deliver exceptional service
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Partner

Skills And Experience

• 3 to 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Experience in a professional services firm is an asset
• College diploma or university degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration
• Background in political science is a strong asset
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as QBO
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
