Job summary

Saturn Oil & Gas Inc. is seeking two Accounting Students for our Calgary, Alberta office to begin in May 2027. One 4-month term and one 8-month term are available.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Bachelor’s program and can commit to the full term, with relocation to Calgary if required. Selected students will gain hands-on experience in accounting, including data entry, month-end close support, reconciliations, budgets, and cross-department collaboration, while developing practical skills in

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program.
• Student must be able to commit to the full applicable 4-month or 8-month term.
• If applicable, the student must be willing to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the term.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting transactions for entry into accounting software
• Assist with month end closing reporting, adhering to corporate deadlines
• Account reconciliations
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records
• Additional adhoc duties as requested.

Saturn has an opportunity for two Accounting Students based in the Calgary, Alberta office starting in May 2027: one 4-month term Accounting Student and one 8-month term Accounting Student. The Accounting Students will be motivated self-starters who are able to prioritize work and show excellent attention to detail.

Some specific duties, and responsibilities of the Accounting Students include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare accounting transactions for entry into accounting software
• Assist with month end closing reporting, adhering to corporate deadlines
• Account reconciliations
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
