The Calgary, Alberta office hosts a Geophysics Student role reporting to the Team Lead, Geophysics. The Geophysics Student will work with Geoscience Professionals to review seismic data, perform mapping and attribute extraction, and contribute to drilling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the 3rd year of an accredited Geophysics program.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Interest in oil and gas exploration and development.

Responsibilities

• Review 2D/3D seismic datasets using in-house tools.
• Assist in structural mapping, time slicing, and attribute extraction.
• Integrate geophysical interpretations with team plans and potential drilling opportunities.
• Summarize findings for the technical team on a regular basis.

Saturn has an opportunity for a Geophysics Student based in the Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Team Lead, Geophysics, the Geophysics Student will work alongside Geoscience Professionals, developing hands on experience and skills relevant to a career in oil and gas exploration and development.

In this role, the responsibilities and duties of the Geophysics Student include, but are not limited to:

• Detailed review of available 2D and 3D seismic datasets using technically appropriate in-house Geophysical tools.
• Analysis can include structural mapping, amplitude mapping, isochronal mapping, time slicing, attribute extraction, pre/post stack inversion, and machine learning (AI).
• Geophysical results are to be correlated with existing well control/mapping and vetted through direct collaboration with resident Geologists and Geophysicists.
• Geophysical interpretations will be integrated into technical team development plans and used to support and/or expand existing plays and identify potential drilling opportunities.
• Summarized findings will be compiled and presented to technical team at regular intervals.

The preferred student will beenrolled in the 3 rd year of an accredited Geophysics program and possess an engaged, team-centric attitude with superior communication skills.
