Saturn Oil & Gas Inc. is seeking a 16-month Facilities Engineering Co-op Student based in Calgary, Alberta, starting May 2027.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Facilities Engineering, you will support the engineering team on project scoping, design work and field activities. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related bachelor's program (Mechanical/Chemical/Petroleum/Energy) and can relocate to Calgary for the term.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s and co-op/internship program pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum/Energy.
  • Able to commence the internship in May 2027.
  • If applicable, willing to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the term.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, learning mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the facility engineering team with project scoping, design and drawing development, cost estimating, scheduling, licensing, procurement, and construction support.
  • Complete pipeline hydraulics and process modelling.
  • Execute small Management of Change (MOC) projects.
  • Travel to field locations as necessary.

Saturn has an opportunity for a 16 month Facilities Engineering Co-op Student based in the Calgary, Alberta office starting May 2027. Reporting to the Team Lead, Facilities Engineering, the Facilities Engineering Student will collaborate with the technical teams as a support on operational and engineering matters.

Some specific duties, and responsibilities of the Engineering Student include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the facility engineering team with project related activities, such as project scoping, design and drawing development, cost estimating, scheduling, licensing, procurement, and construction support
  • Complete pipeline hydraulics and process modelling
  • Execute small Management of Change (MOC) projects
  • Travel to field locations as necessary

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s and co-op/internship program, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum/Energy
  • Able to commence the internship in May 2027
  • If applicable, the student must be willing to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the term
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and contribute
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset but not mandatory
