Job summary

Fleming and Baron, an ASSA ABLOY company, is recruiting an Accounting Specialist for our Woodbridge, Ontario facility. You will own the full life cycle of accounts payable, input data into daily worksheets and the general ledger, and ensure files are complete with the utmost integrity.

Responsibilities include vendor file maintenance, reconciliations, GL analysis, month-end support, and tax compliance. Strong communication, Excel proficiency, and 3–5 years of manufacturing accounting are

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, databases, and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Comfortable utilizing Excel (intermediate to advanced).

Responsibilities

• Own the full life cycle of the Accounts Payable function including checking, verifying and processing invoices, ensuring compliance, preparing payments for signature, sorting and coding data, analyzing discrepancies and unpaid invoices, and maintaining vendor files.
• Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations.
• Provide general Ledger analysis.
• Assist with month-end financial statements.
• Perform administrative duties to support the Finance team.

You will enter data into daily worksheets and into the general ledger system, while ensuring all files are complete and maintained with the utmost integrity**You would also:*** Own the full life cycle of the Accounts Payable function including checking, verifying and processing invoices, ensuring compliance, preparing payments for signature, sorting and coding data, analyzing discrepancies and unpaid invoices, and maintaining vendor files* Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations* Provide general Ledger analysis* Assist with month-end financial statements* Perform administrative duties as needed to support the Finance team* Assess tax information to ensure compliance with the Tax Act* Participate in a safe and harmonious working environment* Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct* Other projects and assignments, as needed**The Skills and Experience you need**:* Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field* 3 - 5 years of accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, databases, and accounting software* Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping* Excellent communication and time management skills* Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines* Comfortable utilizing Excel (intermediate to advanced skills)* Previous working knowledge of SAP and an ERP system would be a plus**The Skills and Experience You Need:*** Good communication skills, both written and verbal, required* Function well in a team environment in all areas of the business* Strong mathematical aptitude required* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to think sequentially and visualize processes and outcomes* Must be able to understand process flows and procedures* Ability to represent ASSA ABLOY through regular customer interaction over the phone* Excellent communication, business writing, and listening skills are a must* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy**What we offer!** We believe in creating opportunities and providing benefits that empower you to grow, thrive, and build a rewarding lifelong career with us.
