Job summary

Fleming and Baron, an ASSA ABLOY company, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to own the full Accounts Payable lifecycle at our Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada facility. You will support day-to-day accounting with data entry into worksheets and the general ledger, ensuring integrity across files.

Responsibilities include invoice processing, reconciliations, month-end support, tax compliance, and cross-functional collaboration within the Finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3-5 years accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, databases, and accounting software
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight deadlines
• Excel (intermediate to advanced)
• Previous working knowledge of SAP and an ERP system would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the full life cycle of the Accounts Payable function including checking, verifying and processing invoices, ensuring compliance, preparing payments for signature, sorting and coding data, analyzing discrepancies and unpaid invoices, and maintaining vendor files
• Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations
• Assist with month-end financial statements
• Perform administrative duties as needed to support the Finance team
• Assess tax information to ensure compliance with the Tax Act
• Participate in a safe and harmonious working environment
• Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

Fleming and Baron, an ASSA ABLOY company, is adding an Accounting Specialist to the team. This position will be on-site at our Woodbridge, Ontario Canada manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our Accounting Specialist?

In this role, you will own the full life cycle of the accounts payable function and help to support and maintain the day-to-day accounting function. You will enter data into daily worksheets and into the general ledger system, while ensuring all files are complete and maintained with the utmost integrity

You would also:

The Skills and Experience you need:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3 - 5 years of accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Comfortable utilizing Excel (intermediate to advanced skills)
• Previous working knowledge of SAP and an ERP system would be a plus

• Function well in a team environment in all areas of the business
• Strong mathematical aptitude required
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to think sequentially and visualize processes and outcomes
• Must be able to understand process flows and procedures
• Ability to represent ASSA ABLOY through regular customer interaction over the phone
• Excellent communication, business writing, and listening skills are a must
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Compensation $55,000 - $70,000 depending on experience
