Job summary

Fleming and Baron, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, seeks a Production Supervisor – Day Shift at our Woodbridge, Ontario facility to lead the Door Department and daily production operations.

You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coaching a team, planning daily work, and partnering with cross-functional teams on lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 4–6 years of manufacturing supervision or management experience.
  • Union-site experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
  • Experience with production scheduling and work planning.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of CNC equipment and programming.
  • Experience with metal forming, door components, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production operations during the day shift, leading a team and ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Plan and assign daily work to meet production schedules and departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support current and future production needs.
  • Train, motivate, coach, and evaluate employees; address performance and discipline as needed.
  • Develop and report production metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Identify productivity trends and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
  • Participate in process improvement and lean initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Promote positive employee relations, communication, and teamwork across all shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with cost control, waste reduction, inventory, health & safety, and Code of Conduct.
