Job summary

RECRUITMENT PARTNERS INC. in Calgary is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations and provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team.

You will oversee full-cycle accounting, month-end close, cost accounting, and budgeting in a manufacturing or construction context. You will partner with the CFO, mentor the finance team, and drive accuracy in financial reporting, GST compliance, and internal controls while supporting cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including team leadership
• Experience in job costing, budgeting, financial reporting, and manufacturing or construction accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end close
• Oversee project revenue, cost accounting, accruals, and analysis
• Review and approve accounts payable and reconciliations
• Manage inventory, capital assets, and payroll approval
• Prepare month-end financial statements and variance analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis
• Prepare audit working papers and ensure GST compliance
• Coordinate insurance renewals and support collections activities
• Lead special projects and cross-functional financial support
