Job summary

The Semios Group in Vancouver, Canada, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee month-end processing and consolidate reporting for the organization. You will drive accurate financial results across multiple entities and support the Financial Controller in preparing statements and analyses.

You will lead the monthly close, manage journals and reconciliations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience with multiple subsidiaries.
• Experience leading month-end processes and preparing financial reports.
• Resilient, flexible, solution-oriented, with leadership in addressing problems.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-directed, highly motivated and energetic.
• Strong work ethic with commitment to quality and timeliness.
• Capable of both individual contributor and team leadership.
• CPA designation or CPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Review trial balance and supporting information for completeness and accuracy.
• Monthly Close Process: Coordinate monthly/year-end close, prepare journals and reconciliations.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare analyses and management reports to support results.
• Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Assist with audits and year-end statutory accounts.
• Accounting Team Support: Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to the team.
• Process Improvements: Identify issues and drive automation and tool integration.
