Qualifications

• Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting.
• Three to five years of experience in a related role.
• CPA designation would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and accounting principles.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform budgeting, forecasting and accounting functions for the administration funds of the Corporation.
• Provide consultative role to management to allocate staffing to meet budget and forecast targets.
• Analyze financial data to develop budgets, forecasts, cash flows and reports for programs.
• Coordinate and prepare federal and provincial claims for funding of administrative activities.
• Coordinate annual year-end financial audit with external auditors.
• Monitor cash flow and advise on investments to maximize surplus funds.
• Assist with payroll cost calculations for collective bargaining decisions.
• Provide leadership to the accounting team and contribute to strategic initiatives.
