Our client is a successful multi-entity, multi-location construction group looking to hire an Accounting Manager for a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant with construction or related industry knowledge or experience.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position requires working in-office at the HQ located in the Stouffville area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. GST and HST filing and remittances for 9 operating companies
2. Year-end tax preparation and filing
3. Monthly government remittances for payroll and handling all CRA inquiries
4. Monthly bank reconciliations, GL reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations
5. Balance sheet review and reconciliations, P&L statement review and preparation
6. Month-end review, adjustments, full close process, and company consolidation
7. Collaborating with the AP, AR, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate record-keeping
8. Preparation and review of additional ad-hoc financial reports as assigned

About You!

• CPA certification is mandatory
• Minimum 6 years of full cycle accounting experience
• At least 3 years of experience working within a multi-entity private company
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or a related industry
• Proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks Desktop experience is preferred
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
