Position Overview :
We are seeking a Staff Accountant / Manager to join our team full-time in a dynamic, hands-on role. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with public practice experience and a passion for accounting, client service, and team leadership. This is a growth-oriented position with the opportunity to lead client files and support junior staff.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage multiple client engagements including compilations, reviews, and tax filings (T1, T2, T3, GST / HST,
payroll).
Provide strategic advice to owner-managed businesses and professionals.
Oversee and review work of junior staff, providing mentorship and technical support.
Perform reconciliations, financial information preparation, and year-end working papers.
Maintain client relationships and ensure timely delivery of services.
Ensure compliance with professional standards, firm policies, and applicable legislation.
Identify process improvement opportunities within client workflows and internal operations.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications :
Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax software (, CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks, Xero, MS365 Suite).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
