Our Client, located in Richmond Hill, is a boutique public accounting firm that provides Audit & Accounting, Tax, Advisory, and Bookkeeping services to owner-managed businesses and Not-For-Profit organizations. They provide a one-stop-shop accounting and tax solution with a hands-on approach.

They are currently looking to add a technologically inclined and entrepreneurial Manager with a strong work ethic with a passion for excellence. You will be involved in all accounting work (assurance, tax, audit, advisory) with an opportunity to lead the Audit division and involved in all audits and reviews. As #4 in the company, you will report to the 3 Partners and have opportunity to grow into a leadership role at the firm. You’ll work with a mix of clients across different industries such as manufacturing, real estate, non-profit, education, financial services, and tech start-ups.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

Your Responsibilities (but not limited to) :

• Complete audit and review engagements for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities
• Help manage the team
• Prepare personal, corporate tax, and GST / HST returns
• Prepare payroll and government-related remittances and filings including, but not limited to, T4’s and T5’s
• Correspond with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding client matters

Requirements :

• Experience working in a Canadian public accounting firm
• Expert level in QBO and QBD
• Strong Canadian accounting knowledge
• Experience using accounting and tax software such as TaxPrep, TaxCycle or Profile, Caseware and Caseview, TaxPrep Forms, Quickbooks, Microsoft Office
• Live in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and legally able to work full-time for any Canadian employer

CPA (Canada)

Min. 4 years experience :

• working in a Canadian accounting firm
• completing audit and reviews for private companies & non-profits (ASPE, ASNPO)
• using Caseware, Caseview, TaxPrep and Quickbooks

Has at least 1 year management experience

Ownership mentality - see things through to the end

Strong communicator - manage timelines, issues, be a face to the client

Strong leader – able to effectively manage a team
