Position: Accounting Manager

Contract Duration: 9-Month Contract

Your New Role

Hays is partnering with a well-established construction company in Port Coquitlam, BC, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects while maintaining strong financial and operational efficiency. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting and business management functions during this 9-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Oversight: Manage and report cash flow, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
2. Bank Transactions: Handle daily bank reconciliations and financial processing.
3. HR & Benefits Management: Oversee HR functions, including employee benefits administration.
4. Payroll Administration: Review timesheets, process payroll, ensure compliance, and handle ROEs.
5. Accounts Receivable & Payable: Daily oversight of AR/AP to maintain financial accuracy.
6. Fiscal Year-End Reporting: Assist with financial preparations and audits as required.
7. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to accounting and administrative teams.

Qualifications

1. Experience: 5-10+ years in accounting and finance management.
2. Education: CPA designation is an asset but not required.
3. Industry Knowledge: Background in construction accounting is preferred.
4. Skills: Strong ERP system experience, self-starter mentality, and ability to work independently.
5. Personal Traits: Quick learner, strong leadership skills, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
