Job summary

Nature’s Fare Markets in Vernon, BC is seeking a short-term contracted Accounting Clerk based at our Head Office. Term starts ASAP with an anticipated end date of November 1, 2026, with potential to extend or shorten based on staffing needs.

You will enter accounts payable and receivable, perform general ledger transactions, and prepare routine AP reports, ensuring data integrity and adherence to policies. Strong GAAP understanding and high accuracy with MS Excel, MS Teams, Dynamics GP, and

• Cover general accounting duties as directed by the Accounting Manager.

Nature’s Fare Markets is seeking a short term contracted Accounting Clerk based out of our Head Office location here in Vernon, BC. The approximate term is starting as soon as possible with an approximate end date of November 1, 2026 - with the potential to extend or shorten based on return of incumbent.

The Opportunity:

As the Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry of all accounts payable, various accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions. This position builds the foundation for information integrity, which is crucial in the decision-making process at Nature’s Fare.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

1. Accounts payable
   • Complete accurate data entry of approved invoices/credits for assigned stores as per accounting policies.
   • Follow-up on outstanding/questionable payables items in a timely manner.
   • Review AP transaction batches for accuracy prior to posting.
   • Prepare various AP reports (weekly, monthly).
   • 3-way match of PO, receiving document, vendor invoice.
   • Price check vendor billing to system cost and prepare reconciliation documents.
   • Update receiving document with accurate cost data.
   • Submit vendor credit documents for discrepancies. Support AR clerk with timely collections.
2. Other accounting duties
   • Prepare various reports as directed by the Accounting Manager.
   • Provide vacation/sick coverage as needed.
