Job summary

The Manitoba Government is hiring three Accounting Clerk positions in the Executive Policy and Financial Services, Courts. One bilingual role requires proficiency in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Process payments related to court-ordered fines, restitution, bail, court fees, and garnishments.
  • Reconcile daily payments and prepare deposits.
  • Data entry, preparing correspondence, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and general administrative support.
  • Interact regularly with the public in person and by phone for front-line service.
  • Assist with other departmental responsibilities as required.

Duties
  • The Executive Policy and Financial Services Branch is seeking to fill three (3) Accounting Clerk positions, including one (1) bilingual position requiring proficiency in both English and French.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work on-site and provide front-line customer service to the public.
  • Key responsibilities include processing payments related to court-ordered fines, restitution, bail, court fees, and garnishments, as well as reconciling daily payments and preparing deposits.
  • Additional duties include data entry, preparing correspondence, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and providing general administrative support.
  • The incumbent interacts regularly with members of the public and other stakeholders, both in person and over the phone.
  • Is required to lift, carry, push, pull, and move files, records, office supplies, & storage/archive boxes weighing up to 40 lbs, and assists with other departmental responsibilities as required.
