Job summary

Fundy Honda in Saint John, NB invites you to join our accounting team as an Accounting Clerk. You will support daily financial operations across Steele Auto Group dealerships, posting and reconciling transactions, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, completing daily cash reporting and bank reconciliations, and assisting with journal entries and ledger reconciliations.

We seek a post-secondary accounting education and at least one year of Canadian experience; attention to detail

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or accounting-focused program.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in a Canadian business environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits.
• Experience in AP and/or AR.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems.
• Automotive or dealership experience is an asset, but not required.
• Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily accounting operations across multiple Steele Auto Group dealerships in New Brunswick.
• Posting and reconciling financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Completing daily cash reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Posting and balancing vehicle deals.
• Preparing journal entries and assisting with general ledger reconciliations.
• Supporting inventory controls and internal financial checks.
• Working in line with SOPs and defined processes when completing daily required tasks.
• Working closely with Controllers and dealership teams to ensure timely, accurate financial information.

Compensation:
Hourly Wage Range: $22.90 – $27.10
(Commensurate with experience, skills, and knowledge)
