Position Status: 1.0 Regular, Full-time, 12 month work year
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Affiliation: OSSTF District 25 - Educational Support Professionals (ESP)
Salary range: $49,556 to $61,287 per annum (Level 5)
Under the direction of the Finance Officer, the Accounting Assistant provides clerical support to Financial Services in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting. This position will process payments to vendors and schools/sites; receives and records revenue from federal, provincial, corporate and public sources; provides a high degree of service/support to schools/departments and the public; responds to written, electronic, telephone, in-person, school/departmental and external queries in a knowledgeable, professional and courteous manner; files and records electronic payments and receipts; and provides support and assistance to Accounting Administrators.
Note: as part of the selection process, a basic bookkeeping test may be administered prior to the interview.
