Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Ontario
Hourly: $25 - $30 /HR
Schedule: Part time for now - 3 days a week (flexible on days)
Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm 3 days a week
Type: Temp to hire
100% Onsite



REQUIRED - Strong excel skills - Must know vlookup, pivot tables, Index/Match, nested IFs and SUMIFS
REQUIRED - Bachelor's Degree
REQUIRED - Min 2 years experience (if have 1 year experience plus internships will look at)


Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage the end-to-end AR/AP cycle, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, deposit application, and account reconciliation.
* Prepare and manage detailed AR/AP reports, ensuring accuracy through continuous data validation, cross-referencing transactions, and performing account reconciliations.
* Assist with cash disbursement scheduling, invoice dispute resolution, and purchase order validation.
* Support bank reconciliations, loan funding schedules, and credit line monitoring.
* Interpret data from PLEX ERP (or equivalent manufacturing ERP), identify anomalies, and assist in remediation of variances.
* Communicate effectively with external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, suppliers, customers) and internal departments (e.g., purchasing, production).
* Participate in ongoing process improvements, automation projects, and internal control enhancement.

Required Qualifications
* Advanced Excel proficiency is non-negotiable. You should be comfortable with:
* VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested IFs, and SUMIFS
* PivotTables, data cleaning, and basic macro will be big plus.
* Analyzing large datasets with accuracy and speed
* Strong math, logic, and reasoning ability; must be comfortable working with high-variability data typical of manufacturing environments.
* Demonstrated reliability and sense of ownership - this is not a plug-and-play role. You will be relied on daily by executive leadership.
* Open to new graduates if Excel skills and work ethic are exceptional.
