Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organizedAccounting Administratorto join a collaborative and analytical finance team. This role will help fill a critical gap and support the team during a period of transition. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a solid understanding of accounting practices, adept at working with colleagues across departments, and proficient with Great Plains. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in an environment that values precision, professionalism, and teamwork, with a chance for the role to evolve into a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting and finance duties, including data entry, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance using Great Plains.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records and documents.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and external stakeholders to clarify discrepancies and provide information as needed.
  • Support the manager by addressing inquiries, following established procedures, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion while managing financial data and supporting department objectives.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (experience with Great Plains is required).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and contribute in a role where reliability and accountability are highly valued.
  • Business casual attire and a professional demeanor required.
