Job description

The Falcon Group of Companies operates a diverse portfolioof businesses including Falcon Contracting Ltd(Civil Construction & General Contracting) and Falcon Camp Services Inc(Turn-key Camps & Catering).We have an immediate opening for a highly experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our the Accounting team in our Prince George, BC office.

Responsibilities:

  • Full accounting cycle for one or more corporate entities
  • Preparing accounts receivable invoices including inter-company and 3rd party billings
  • Monitor accounts receivable activity and investigate/reconcile discrepancies on accounts
  • Reconcile supplier statements, including inter-company accounts and prepare payments
  • Record, track and report fixed assets
  • Preparation of bank/account reconciliations
  • Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries/adjustments
  • Ensure that all inter-company accounts are reconciled
  • Timely preparation of GST,PST, Payroll and other required tax compliance filings and remittances
  • Perform month-end/quarter-end financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets, as required
  • Prepare year-end working papers and liaise with external accountants to ensure timely completion of annual financial statements
  • Ad-hoc reporting for client requests, estimating new jobs and other projects
  • General office duties and reception desk support, as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years comprehensivebookkeeping experience
  • Previous experience with a construction, forestry, or industrialfirm preferred
  • Accounting degree and/or designation (CPA, CGA, CA)would be considered an asset
