We are currently looking for an Accountant/Accounts technician/experienced Bookkeeper to join the finance team.

As a growing company, we are looking to expand our finance team. This role is on a full-time basis.

Your new role:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Ownership of a portfolio of entities within the group.
• Manage a junior member of staff
• Liaise with internal & external auditors
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash transactions.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and other control procedures
• Review & prepare VAT returns
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Skills

• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
• Need to have exams or part of exams done. Either accounts technican, ACCA or ACA
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable.
• Experience working with Sage, Procure Wizard
