What you’ll do

• Work as part of a supportive and dynamic team of financial professionals, ensuring accuracy and excellence in accounting operations.
• General ledger management. Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, general ledger oversight, and intercompany transactions. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, such as prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities.
• Support Controller and accounting team in daily and monthly cycle and processes.
• Manage reconciliations, variance analysis,ad hoc reports,and financial statements.
• Drive process improvements. Identify efficiencies, optimize workflows, and help refine financial strategies.
• Maintain meticulous records and ensure financial data integrity through careful reporting and reconciliation.
• Collaborate across departments, providing key financial insights that influence major business decisions.
• Special projects. Lead or assist with ad hoc projects as required by senior leadership or the Controller.
• Stay ahead of the curve, keeping up with industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovative financial tools to elevate our accounting practices.

• Detail-driven expert: You have at least two years’ experience in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of managing financial operations with precision and efficiency.

• Ability to work onsite at our Woodbridge office five days a week.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field – or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in general ledger applications and financial reporting tools.
• Strong financial management and performance analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with Quickbooks and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• A top-notch understanding of current accounting best practices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent, easy, written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to payroll is considered an asset.
• Exposure to CRM's such as Bullhorn considered an asset.
• Prior search firm experience isn’t necessary but considered an asset.
• Willingness to learn and succeed in a fun, supportive, fast-moving environment.
