Job Title: Accountant – 12-Month Contract

Our client, a financial institution in Toronto, is seeking an Accountant to join them on a 12-month contract assignment (with potential to become permanent).

Reporting to the Controller, this role will support the finance team with full-cycle accounting. The responsibilities include day-to-day processing (reconciliations, analysis, general ledger, journal entries, month- & year-end financial close, preparing schedules and reports supporting audit, tax, and accounting requirements, etc.). This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with skilled finance and accounting professionals while contributing to the organization's daily operations and gaining exposure to business transformation.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a similar industry (experience working with personal/retirement taxes and insurance accounting).

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
