Who is Manmade looking for?

An experienced Accountant based in Montreal that is looking for an exciting chance to take on a unique challenge with tremendous opportunity to grow within a thriving organization.

Ideally you have about 5+ years experience in accounting and preferably within a related industry (i.e. apparel, retail, and/or ecommerce). As the company’s Accounting Technician, you will be working closely with the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including inventory / COGS and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Assist in preparing financial statements.
• Complete sales tax and corporate tax filings across Canada and the USA, accurately and within deadlines
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
• Handle general accounting tasks and generate financial reports.
• Assist with audit preparations by organizing and providing necessary documentation.
• Prepare journal entries, record transactions, and conduct analysis to ensure accuracy
• Identify and resolve account discrepancies by reviewing documentation and making necessary adjustments
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and full counts periodically.
• Inventory three way matching between PO, BOL at reception of goods, and Invoice.

Qualifications:

• Have a positive attitude, be a good team player, and a strong work ethic.
• Certificate, or DEC, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting within a related industry.
• Experience in an environment with fast-growth is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, financial software and ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
• High ethical standards and integrity in financial management and reporting.
