Job summary

Jobtailor in Saskatoon, Canada, seeks an experienced CPA with 5+ years in accounting to lead monthly financial reporting, GL management, and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.

You will monitor budgeting, forecasting, GST/HST compliance, and provide financial analysis to management, strengthening controls and ensuring timely, accurate reports for all subdivisions.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or cost-accounting experience is an asset.
• Strong Excel and accounting/ERP system skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to interpret financial information and communicate it to non-financial managers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.

• Strengthen accounting processes and internal financial controls.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of assigned financial information and reports.
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, control weaknesses, and cost-management opportunities.
• Escalate significant issues to the CEO.
