Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking an Account Strategist Manager to lead a team of strategists and drive end-to-end campaigns across Canada’s foremost grocery retailer network.

The role offers multiple office bases including Halifax, NS; Mississauga; and Montreal, QC, with leadership in Customer Success and Sales. You will optimize campaign strategies, leverage data to improve performance, and mentor team members while coordinating with cross-functional partners to maximize supplier value and business

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in account management and/or project management and/or digital marketing, with experience leading teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Finance, or related discipline required.
• Demonstrated experience in media buying platforms, ad serving, demand side and analytics platforms, and relationship management.
• RMN experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of Account Strategist and drive team performance against key KPIs.
• Manage day-to-day prioritization and operations of the team in collaboration with Customer Success and Sales.
• Drive end-to-end account strategies and campaigns for larger-scale opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (banner marketing, shopper marketing, merch, email, site, creative, sales).
• Establish best practices using performance data to ensure timely delivery of campaigns.
• Own and optimize tools, processes and capabilities for campaign development and strategy.
• Monitor trends in digital media and RMN to improve performance and growth.
• Coach and develop Account Strategists with feedback, training and career planning.

Here’s Where You’ll Have An Impact

• Lead team of Account Strategist and drive team performance against key KPIs.


• Manage the day‑to‑day prioritization and operations of the team, in close collaboration with leadership in Customer Success and Sales.


• Manage account strategists to drive the delivery of end‑to‑end account strategies and campaigns, while dedicating focus to larger‑scale business and campaign opportunities.


• Manage strategic relationships with and ensure close collaboration with cross‑functional teams (e.g., banner marketing, shopper marketing, merch, email, site, creative, sales).


• Establish best practices utilizing performance data and insights to ensure efficient delivery of campaign strategies and timelines.


• Own and further optimize all tools, processes and capabilities required for campaign development and strategy.


• Monitor the latest trends in digital media and RMN (e.g., channels, ad formats and tech) to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how to leverage new tools/services for supplier value and business growth.


• Coach and develop Account Strategists through regular feedback, training, and career development planning.

What You’ll Offer

• Mandatory: 6+ years of experience in account management and / or project management and / or digital marketing (experience in retail media is an asset), with experience leading teams.


• Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Finance, or related discipline required.


• Demonstrated experience in media buying platforms, ad serving, demand side and analytics platforms, and relationship management.


• RMN experience is an asset.
