Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in White Rock is seeking a Receiver to provide friendly, professional service and support store operations.

You will work with the manager to ensure products are accurately received, logged, and displayed, contributing to an engaging environment for teammates and customers. Key duties include processing deliveries, verifying packing slips, using SAP/Chainware, assisting with unloading, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while communicating with store leadership to keep shipments

• Above average communication skills (oral and written).
• May be required to lift to 20lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal and external customer service to meet all customers' needs.
• Receive all incoming product, verify packing slips, and key information into the receiving system.
• Ensure receiving policies are followed and logs are completed daily.
• Maintain back shop and assist with unloading deliveries.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and report unsafe conditions.
• Communicate with store management about shipments and provide updates.
• Help build displays and assist with ordering.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

The Receiver is responsible for providing customers with friendly, professional service. The Receiver will work with the manager(s) to ensure that products are accurately received. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s Where You’ll Have An Impact

• Provide internal and external customer service to meet all customers' needs


• Receive all incoming product, verifying packing slips to goods, keying in product information into the receiving system (SAP, Chainware or Assist)


• Ensures company receiving policies and procedures are followed and logs are completed daily


• Maintain back shop


• Assist with unloading delivery


• Ensure that all equipment is in good working order by reporting any unsafe equipment or conditions


• Provide internal customer service by effectively communicating with store management and staff and providing updates on shipments as required


• Helps in building displays and ordering


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirement


• Other duties as required


• Ability to work independently in a fast pasted environment


• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite


• Proficient use of Chainware (Lawtons)


• Above average communication skills both oral and written
