Job summary

Omnicom Media Canada is seeking an energetic SEO Manager to enhance organic visibility across Google, Bing, YouTube and app stores. You will lead campaigns for Fortune 1000 clients, coordinating with marketing, development, content and PR teams to drive results.

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and analytically minded person to join our search engine optimization (SEO) team. The SEO manager is responsible for helping clients improve organic visibility wherever search results are presented (e.g., Google, Bing, YouTube, App Store). This role develops, implements, and manages SEO campaigns for our Fortune 1000 client roster. The job includes a great deal of client contact and cross-team collaboration between teams such as marketing, web development, web design, content production, mobile, social media, and public relations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage senior analysts and help analysts grow into the next level of their career.
  • Translate clients’ business goals and marketing objectives into successful search engine optimization strategies.
  • Plan site structure and website content strategy.
  • Develop ongoing client dashboards and reports that yield qualitative and quantitative trends.
  • Collaborate with paid search to feed SEO findings into broader online and offline media strategy.
  • Be the main point of content for your brands in regard to SEO strategy.
  • Develop POVs on the various SEO/Search tools, news, and trends relevant to the client portfolio and share these within the larger SEO team.
  • Work with creative and development teams to ensure proper implementation of SEO recommendations.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Substantial experience in SEO or digital marketing.
  • Understanding of the strengths of SEO platforms (e.g. BrightEdge, Conductor, Searchmetrics, Moz, Screaming Frog) and when to consult web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Webtrends) instead.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, particularly in the area of explaining technical concepts to those in non-technical roles.
  • Solid grasp of how search engines work as well as core SEO and SEM tenets.
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • KINESSO does not require candidates to have a college degree.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Specific technical web experience, such as expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of website design and development.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience training/managing team members a plus.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.

Expected Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Omnicom Media is providing the compensation range that the company is willing to pay for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition, Omnicom Media provides rewarding offerings such as:

Salary range $70,000 -$80,000

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
