The CST role is to be located on Vancouver Island and is focused on supporting the neurosurgery and spine program at Victoria General Hospital. This position requires a clinically strong individual who can provide reliable, responsive support to a high-volume surgical program. The role demands a high level of accessibility and flexibility, as the Account Manager must be prepared to assist with scheduled procedures as well as unexpected trauma cases that arise within the program.
Beyond clinical case support, the CST is responsible for managing the territory with an ownership mindset. This includes building strong relationships with surgeons and hospital staff, ensuring consistent clinical excellence in the operating room, and identifying opportunities to support the continued growth and development of the neurosurgery and spine program on Vancouver Island. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical capability with business acumen and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic surgical environment.

The majority of time is spent developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying and cultivating new opportunities, executing sales strategies, and closing business.
An established and productive sales professional managing multiple small to mid-sized accounts. Responsible for selling products and/or services to existing customers while identifying and developing new opportunities. Operates with general supervision while independently managing territory priorities and customer relationships.
Responsible for achieving individual sales targets within the assigned product portfolio and territory by expanding existing accounts and developing new business. Contributes directly to departmental sales results and may help establish account-level objectives. Typically manages moderately complex accounts or a small to mid-sized territory. Demonstrates understanding of the market landscape, pricing structures, and commercial strategy, and may collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to structure more complex agreements.
Identifies opportunities to improve sales processes and recommends adjustments to enhance effectiveness. Adapts account strategies to overcome challenges and achieve sales goals. Exercises sound judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
Engages with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information that may require explanation or interpretation. Communicates with customers and partners through presentations, discussions, and negotiations to build relationships and close sales.
Receives general direction on routine work and more detailed guidance on new initiatives or projects. May provide informal mentorship, guidance, or support to junior sales professionals or support staff.
Relevant experience may include sales, clinical support, or related roles within the Medical Devices industry, Medtech, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
