W. W. Grainger, Inc. is a leading broad line distributor with North America and Japan operations. Account Managers will drive sales growth for a defined geography, using Salesforce to manage 40-45 current accounts and a $2M annual portfolio.

The territory for this role includes Gatineau, Northern Quebec, Ottawa. You will report to the District Sales Manager and travel monthly to customer sites, balancing planning with pipeline development to grow revenue.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years direct outside sales experience (or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience) required.
• Sales forecasting and opportunity management knowledge.
• Travel to customers within the market at least monthly.

Compensation:

The base salary for this role ranges between $58,880 - $80,960 , with eligibility for an incentive target of $27,000.00% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. Account Managers will produce positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market with an average of 40-45 current accounts and average of $2M dollars annually. Use Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, to perform all the aspects of business daily. You will report to the District Sales Manager.

The territory for this position is Gatineau, Northern Quebec, Ottawa.

You Will

• Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs
• Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business
• Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to guide greater understanding of the customers, increase contacts within the customer group and increase sales results.
• Understand Grainger's Value Proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales
• Develop account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for essential customers to maximize sales

You Have

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2+ years direct outside sales experience (or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience) required
• Sales forecasting opportunity management and customer planning
• Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently where needed
• Process discipline, ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue
• Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions

This role may require you to attend customers’ sites and adhere to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, as it relates to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) on certain customer sites. This may include: a hard hat; steel-toed safety boots, clean shaven or trimmed moustache/beard in order to wear a close-fitted N95 mask or other required PPE. Details of these requirements will be provided during the recruitment process.

Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such customer screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
