Job description

Account Manager

Location: Toronto, ON

Purpose

Lay the foundation for successful client partnerships by keeping the agency team organized and up to speed on all account activities.

Responsibilities
Mastery of the Basics
  • Own meeting logistics and requirements for all client meetings.
  • Hold well-run meetings — start on time, have proper materials available, and ensure proper written follow-up.
  • Be knowledgeable and manage details of all assigned client projects.
  • Ensure clients are proactively and consistently up-to-date on all projects.
  • Track hours/scope and distribute hours reports.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely budget tracking and invoice billing.
  • Coordinate and create presentation materials with appropriate team members.
  • Maintain and archive detailed records of project progress on the agency server.
Account Management
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of assigned clients’ business, including marketing/communication objectives, KPIs, category, competition, etc.
  • Track competitive advertising activity and prepare reviews and updates.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager, Creative, Strategy, and Production teams to keep them informed of client and market changes.
  • Manage relationships with Project Management leads across accounts.
  • Determine scope of work; work with Resource Planning on hours estimation.
  • Maintain client status reports for all projects.
  • Distribute Client Briefs internally.
  • Work with Account Leadership and other departments to define project time estimates.
  • Enter estimates into project management software.
  • Coordinate with Agency Operations to assign resources.
  • Stay informed of project schedules to set accurate expectations.
  • Align project schedules with Resources/Project Managers.
  • Facilitate client reviews; document feedback and next steps.
  • Identify next steps based on client reviews.
  • Work with Production to manage talent costs and client approvals.
  • Maintain relationships with partner agencies and communicate schedules and changes.

Experience

Ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience and/or a passion for brand advertising and marketing.
